The Driven Hunt GTX boots weigh only around 930 g per boot, and are made from beautiful, genuine, full-grain leather from top to toe. They have an extra tall, 12”/30.5 cm shaft and a standard-width last. They also feature a waterproof GORE-TEX Duratherm Kelvin membrane with integral insulating layer, which makes the boots ideal for winter hunting. During manufacture, all boot membranes are tested in a waterbath, to ensure they are waterproof. We then perform a 30-minute centrifuge test on a 5% sample of total boot production, as a further guarantee that the membrane is of the highest possible quality. The boots have semi-stiff Vibram® Aftersky Ice Trek soles, specially designed for grip on icy surfaces. The midsoles of the boots are shock-absorbing, for long-distance walking comfort. They are reinforced with an extra robust material at the toe and heel, where wear is typically the greatest. The boot’s stitching is also reinforced, and the fit has been improved.
